Then again, sometimes even those of us that have been eating this way for a while need a reminder!

While it’s fine to have treats once in awhile, there’s nothing like whole, natural, REAL food to keep your body looking, feeling and functioning well!

          latimes:

          The king of Chinese restaurants

How many Chinese restaurants have you been to? A few? Maybe a dozen?

For L.A. attorney David Chan, that number quickly skyrocketed, currently sitting at a preposterous 6,297 (with more still to come).

But Chan didn’t always have Chinese cuisine, reviews for which he keeps collected in a massive spreadsheet cataloging his travels and meals:

As a child, Chan hated Chinese food. The few times his parents would drag him to Chinatown restaurants like Lime House for banquets, he’d sulk over a bowl of plain rice. Home-cooked dinners were American standbys like meatloaf and spaghetti.

If Chan didn’t feel Chinese, it was partly by design.

“I think my parents wanted to protect me,” Chan said. “I was pretty much raised as an American.”

And for those looking to follow in his footsteps (at least for a little while), here are Chan’s personal top 10 restaurants.

Read more about Chan’s culinary mission here.

            The World’s Most Beautiful Libraries

“Without libraries what have we? We have no past and no future.” -Ray Bradbury

For centuries, books have housed the collective knowledge of the world and formed the foundations of educational institutions. Given that these objects contain such value, it only makes sense that throughout history people have constructed beautiful buildings to house them.

We put together a list of some of the most beautiful libraries as captured by Instagrammers around the world. For more photos from these architectural wonders, check out their linked location pages below.

“What ab exercises do you do? Your MTLC Workouts don’t include abs, and it’s not in your FAQ. You have sick abs though so please share your secrets :)”

A lot of people want to hear that there is a secret.. that there is some magical pill or potion or food or exercise out there that creates an amazing physique (not saying that this particular person is hoping for that.. just generally speaking). Wanna know what that secret is? Hard work! Clean eating, exercise, and patience. Not what you were hoping for? Unfortunately… this is the truth! If it were easy to to “get abs”… everyone would have them! You have to work hard for the body you want =)

With that said, I train my abs 2 times a week, when I feel like it. (I hate training my abs, so I have to force myself to do it.. meh). It’s usually just 3-4 exercises that are typically a couple crunch or leg lift variations. Nothing wild and fancy. The rest comes from a clean diet. There is NO AB EXERCISE THAT WILL WITTLE AWAY BODY FAT!!! Doing hundreds of crunches is not going to make the fat on your midsection disappear! In order to see all the hard work you put in at the gym, you have to have a clean eating plan. Incorporate cardio and resistance training for timelier results! =)
